Graduate Students Hike From The Sacred Heart Statue At Kylemore Abbey

The Creative Writing Summer Seminar is a  4-week intensive course taught by both Notre Dame faculty and internationally renowned authors.

The seminar features creative writing instruction including lectures, discussions, workshopping, and critiques of students' work.

In the setting of Kylemore and Galway, students will reflect upon their peers' fiction, poetry, scripts and/or hybrid writing.

Students will have the opportunity to engage with classical texts, Irish poets, and authors and will be able to workshop longer drafts. Readings in multiple genres will help showcase the role of the U.S./Irish writer in a global context.

Upon the completion of the course, students will have had the opportunity to work and develop their craft.

Who can attend?

The seminar is open to advanced undergraduate and graduate students from all backgrounds.

How much does it cost to attend?

$6,500. The seminar is worth 3 Notre Dame credits.
