Danny is an avid outdoorsman from Macclenny, Florida, where he operates a fishing guide service – Neri Bros Fishing Co. – with his brother. His outdoorsy interests have naturally translated over into his academic interests, as he studies Anthropology and English. He enjoys the complementary aspects of his two majors, which give him the ability to study people simultaneously through a social science and a literary lens. On campus, Danny expresses his interest in sports by playing on the Notre Dame varsity baseball team for the past three years, and now sportswriting for The Observer.
Danny is still determining which path he wants to take following his graduation from Notre Dame. He would love to continue his passion for both sports and English with a profession in journalism or sportswriting. On the other end of the sports spectrum, Danny believes that working in the front office of a professional sports organization would be extraordinarily fulfilling. But law school is also under consideration for Danny!
