Notre Dame MFA students and faculty will be reading selections of their poetry and prose, at Notre Dame’s Hammes Bookstore at 7:30 p.m.
In the past, Notre Dame's Creative Writing Program has celebrated National Poetry Month with a tag team reading of poetry. Throughout April, all over the US, a series of events are organized by the Academy of American Poets to increase the visibility and availability of poetry in popular culture. Beginning last year, the Creative Writing Program has extended its event to prose writers as well. Students and faculty will read short selections in a tag-team style reading, allowing the audience to hear a range of styles, aesthetics, themes and voices. This is a fast-paced, thrilling reading that is well worth attending.
The reading is free and open to the public.
