Biography

Tirna Chandra is a first year English Ph.D. student at the University of Notre Dame. She is interested in  Twentieth Century wartime and interwar writings of women, and researches the intersection between women's experience of war, and the evolving suffrage movements. She focuses on writers and activists like Vera Brittain, May Sinclair, Cicely Hamilton, and the Pankhursts, alongside pacifist and militant suffrage organizations, like the NUWSS, and the WSP
