Biography

Abigail Scott Rawleigh is a Ph.D. candidate studying religion and literature in the British colonial world. Her dissertation project focuses on metaphors of domestic activity in seventeenth-century religious poetry, considering the ways in which lived domestic experience informs practices of poetry and poetic devotion, subverting, reinforcing, or otherwise complicating traditional articulations of gender, theology, and poetics in the period.
