The Graduate School, the Department of Art, Art History, and Design, and the Department of English cordially invite you to join us for the opening reception of the 2026 Solarium art show.
This annual event features selected works by MFA students in the studio art and design programs and corresponding ekphrastic reflection pieces by students in the English Department's MFA in Creative Writing program. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, Solarium elevates the creative side of graduate studies, and enhances the viewer’s experience of each art installation.
Enjoy light refreshments, contemplate bold new art—both visual and written—and meet the artists and writers featured in this year’s show!
During the reception, Dean Hildreth will announce the names of three winning artists and three winning writers, each of whom will receive a cash prize.
Come celebrate and appreciate both the visual arts and written word produced by Notre Dame graduate students!
