PLS and English Emeritus Professor Steve Fallon will be giving a short talk on "Shakespeare and Milton behind Bars." The talk and Q&A will focus on his experience teaching great works of literature in Westville Correctional Facility, a medium-security prison about 45 minutes away in Westville, IN. Prof. Fallon was one of the leading forces behind the creation of the Moreau College Initiative, a collaboration between Holy Cross and Notre Dame that allows inmates at Westville to pursue associates or bachelors degrees in liberal arts through Holy Cross. PLS has a commitment to offer one course per year through the MCI.

For those on campus, we'll be in 104 Bond Hall, 4 - 5 pm. The talk will also be livestreamed; RSVP for the link to the livestream at https://forms.gle/TdnacaTeXoRW92az9. Please join us to learn about the power for both students and faculty of experiencing a liberal arts education in prison.
