Location: Eck Visitor Center (View on map )

An evening of poetry and conversation with poet Farid Matuk, Associate Professor, Department of English, The University of Arizona.

Matuk, whose linguistic inventiveness continually presses against the confining syntaxes of racist, sexist, and colonialist dehumanization, was born in Peru to Peruvian and Syrian parents, immigrated to the US at 6 and was undocumented until the age of 13. Matuk will read from his latest collection, The Real Horse, sign books and take questions from the audience.
