The Poetry and Poetics Group is an interdisciplinary workshop hosted by Notre Dame’s English Department. Each scheduled session will feature a speaker giving a targeted and fairly brief (not more than 20 minute) presentation centered on a particular text, which will be followed by a group-wide conversation. ISLA has generously provided us with funds to obtain copies of the books under discussion (the books are at the English Department and are available on a first-come, first-served basis).
The presentations we have scheduled encompass a healthy mix of poets, time periods, and critical approaches. Presenters include faculty members and graduate students at various stages in their degrees. We are hoping for similar diversity among group participants and encourage everyone with an interest in what poetry can do to join us.

Workshop sessions will be on Mondays at 3:00 in 204 O'Shaughnessy. The session on Bachelard (March 4) will take place in the gallery at Bond Hall.
