Faculty and grad students are invited to join Professor Norman MacLeod for a brown bag discussion on the topic "Images, Totems, Types, and Memes: Perspectives on an Iconological Mimetics." Professor MacLeod is Keeper of Paleontology at the Natural History Museum of London (http://www.nhm.ac.uk/hosted_sites/paleonet/MacLeod/). His visit is presented by the History and Philosophy of Science Graduate Program in the Reilly Center for Science, Technology, and Values and cosponsored by the Departments of Biological Sciences, English, and History, and the College of Arts and Letters.
