María Negroni (b. 1951) is an Argentinian poet, writer, translator and essayist. She is the author of twelve books of poetry, two novels and five collections of essays. Her honors include fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation and the Octavio Paz Foundation. Works translated into English include ISLANDIA: A POEM, Night Journey, The Tango Lyrics, Mouth of Hell, Dark Museum (a critical book on the gothic) and the novel The Annunciation.
