Publications

MFA students at Notre Dame have the opportunity to both serve as editors as well as publish their works around campus and beyond.

Re:Visions

Re:Visions showcases undergraduate prose, poetry, and visual art. Graduates and undergraduates from Notre Dame as well as those enrolled at St. Mary’s and Holy Cross College are invited to submit short stories, poetry, visual art, and other hybrid work of all kinds. They are also invited to serve as editorial assistants for the journal.

Back issues are available digitally at ISSUU

Submissions for 2024 will open on December 1, 2023 and the deadline for submissions is February 1, 2024 by 11:59 pm. The journal is distributed shortly before the last day of class. To submit work, email to revlitmag@gmail.com.

The Notre Dame Review

Faculty and student editors collaborate to publish The Notre Dame Review, an independent literary magazine dedicated to a panoramic view of contemporary fiction, poetry, criticism and art. The Notre Dame Review has featured the works of Nobel Prize winners Seamus Heaney and Czeslaw Milosz, as well as a number of notable emerging writers. They are especially interested in work that takes on big issues by making the invisible seen and giving voice to the voiceless.

The editors read submissions only from September through October and from January through March. Submissions sent during summer months will not be reviewed. Work may be submitted through the Review’s Submittable page.

Action Books

Action Books is an independent press, edited by Johannes Göransson and Joyelle McSweeney, dedicated to international writing and hybrid forms.
