Bret Nye completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at Wittenberg University, where he wrote a thesis on the possibility of an authentic self in the postmodern fiction of Thomas Pynchon and Don DeLillo. He is also a graduate of Miami University’s MA Program in Fiction, where he worked with OxMag (the graduate creative writing program’s literary magazine) and produced a short collection of linked stories based on life in the Midwest that he is still in the process of publishing. His fiction has appeared in Midwestern Gothic and The Wittenberg Review, amongst other places. When Bret isn’t writing or reading or teaching, he likes to watch depressing art films and try to play his favorite metal songs on the guitar.
