Arianna Martinez

Ari is from Albuquerque, NM. She graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 2022 and is a commissioned Second Lieutenant. She competed for four years with the Air Force track team and currently competes with the Notre Dame track team as a high jumper. Her undergraduate thesis analyzes Flannery O’Connor’s use of disabled characters within her Southern gothic short stories. Arianna is interested in further studying the genre of the American short story. She is currently a first-year MA student and will graduate in May 2024.
