Orlando Menes's poems have appeared in several prominent anthologies, including The Poetry of Men's Lives: An International Anthology, edited by Fred S. Moramarco and Al Zolynas (Athens: University of Georgia Press, 2004); American Diaspora: Poetry of Displacement, edited by Virgil Suárez and Ryan G. Van Cleave (Iowa City: University of Iowa Press, 2001); as well as such literary magazines as Ploughshares, The Antioch Review, Chelsea, Callaloo, Prairie Schooner, North American Review, New Letters, Crab Orchard Review, and Epoch. His latest poetry collection, Furia, was published by Milkweed Editions in 2005. He is also the author of Rumba atop the Stones and editor of the anthology Renaming Ecstasy: Latino Writings on the Sacred, published by the Bilingual Press/Editorial Bilingue at Arizona State University. Recently he completed a manuscript of translations of the poetry of Alfonsina Storni.
