James Collins is a concurrent professor of English who teaches and studies popular narrative, film, digital culture, and postmodernism. His most recent book is Bring on the Books for Everybody: How Literary Culture became Popular Culture. He is also the author of Uncommon Cultures: Popular Culture and Postmodernism and Architectures of Excess: Cultural Life in the Age of Information. He has also edited High-Pop, and co-edited Film Theory Goes to the Movies.
