Jeannie Yoon is a first generation Korean American writer and interdisciplinary artist. She was born in New Haven, grew up moving around New England, went to college in Oregon, and has lived in, visited, and passed through many other places besides. She has received scholarships for creative activites from Reed and the Tin House Writer’s Workshop, published work in Buzzfeed and elsewhere, held a residency at Campos de Gutierrez in Medellín, Colombia, and worked with Peter Rock, Akihiko Miyoshi, Vanessa Veselka, Cathy Park Hong, and Ariana Reines. She holds a B.A. in linguistics from Reed College and chronic tension in her neck and shoulders. She is interested in translation, historiography, and thinking about feelings. Here is her website.
